a small victory

28 January 2013

They may not seem like a big deal, but those flowers up there definitely are. You see, there have been eight fern (ferns you guys), five tomato plant, and countless herb garden fatalities in the span of my lifetime. To say that plants should probably scream and run at the sight of me is quite the understatement. But finally (finally!) a plant has thrived under my care (mostly David's but his victories are mine too.. right?). I mean, those flowers definitely weren't there when we brought this baby home. Not even close. So, hey there you pretty orange things. I think you're pretty impressive.

Awesome! I wish I had a green thumb, but I don't. I still try though - and every summer I stock up on plants because the previous seasons have not made it :/
